Austria’s capital community volunteers deliver fact-based drug education with young people across the city

VIENNA, Austria — 23 December 2025 — Community volunteers linked to Foundation for a Drug-Free World Austria are expanding outreach in Vienna, speaking with youth, families and educators via public information points and community events. The Vienna effort is led by Gabriele Toker, a local organiser, the initiative eu newspapers relies on “Truth About Drugs” materials to present straightforward information on drug risks, with particular attention to cannabis, described by public monitoring bodies as the most widely used illicit drug in Europe. Organisers say, the Vienna activities aim to reach teenagers early, with visibility at major public events, including the Donauinselfest, while also connecting with educators interested in classroom-ready resources.
